The NEET is a crucial entrance test for those who dream of becoming doctors in India. It is compulsory for admission to medical and dental courses like MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses offered in government as well as private colleges. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET every year.

The test is offline, i.e., the students have to mark the answers on paper with a pen. The question paper consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, out of which candidates are required to attempt 180. The subjects in NEET include Physics, Chemistry, and Biology based on the NCERT syllabus for Classes 11 and 12. The test carries a maximum of 720 marks.

NEET is popularly known to be one of India's toughest and most competitive exams because lakhs of students appear for a few seats. Timely preparation, practice, and time management are extremely important in order to clear the NEET.

Clearing NEET not only provides a route to MBBS and BDS courses but also provides a route to other medical streams like AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy). It's a great opportunity for those who wish to serve humanity and get into the healthcare industry. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that NEET 2025 will take place on May 4, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM IST.
